Why Should You Go For Digital Printing?

The art of digital printing has progressed in the traditional print market by aggressively growing to a great extent. The approach of digital printing is being directly connected to the output device, whereas traditional print does not use a pre-press operation as seen on screen printing or lithographic.

It requires the use of large format printers as the images are immediately sent to a photo printer such as Mimaki and Graphtec that are output devices.

The obvious difference between digital printing and traditional printing is the relationship that exists between the system which delivers the ink and the equipment itself. Specific ink delivery services and systems are being utilized such as solvent, ink jet, large format printers and other output devices. For each digital press the process of printing is different. The ink that is actually used can vary according to the options of every equipment.

There are principle technologies used in many of these devices that include solid inkjet, liquid inkjet, wet toner systems, ITL Inks, dry toner systems, thermal transfer, photographic transfer machines and so on. Depending on the output of prints required and the rate of production, you can determine which option is better.

While it is certainly more advanced than traditional, digital printing is a long process. The process first begins by capturing the image. The image then needs to be generated and later polished. For images to be digitalized, a good scanner system is required in the form of a 35mm photo slide. This photo slide, will switch the transparent image into a digital copy.

Before this image is developed, the image is first transferred to a printing station. Converting digital images is a process in itself. The DPI in a digital graphic will help you see an image rather than a collection of dots. Your picture will keep getting clearer as these individual dots increase. When using digital printing, there is a four colour technology as well as high tech printers such as Mimaki and Graphtec that are being used in modern times.

The end result is lamination. When a digital print is laminated using media and exclusive inks it helps the print protect against indoor moisture, direct sunlight and harsh weather conditions. Printing services in general use various adhesives that allows the image to be protected using numerous surfaces. If you require every image to be unique, then it means that less chemicals and paper are wasted. It also needs less initial setup and speedy prototyping makes digital printing cost effective when completing smaller print jobs.

The end result is what matters in image processing. Make certain you look for printing companies that offer a wide range of products and services for your printing requirements. While a graphic file that is high in resolution will not ensure a good print, the digital printer used definitely plays a vital role in the final product.
